If you are looking on how to get to this trail, get directions for the Griffith Observatory. You park in the same lot to start the trail.

Nice hike approx. 3 hrs. which included many small rests for taking photos. try to start early in the day as there is limited parking at the base - otherwise must park at street level which adds 50 yrds at an inline to the hike. - chrisv - rating:4 stars - 2007-08-19

Everyone should do this hike at least once so they can say they saw the Hollywood sign 'up close' or at least as close as the fence will allow. With that said, it still offers great views of the whole city on a clear day. The hike is mainly on fire roads and is steep for the short hike it is. I use this as a conditioning hike with a heavy pack for training for my longer bacpacks. Doesn't offer any shade... bring lots of sunscreen and a wide brim hat. Also watch where you step, lots of road apples. - TrailHuggerSarah - rating:4 stars - 2006-06-09
