:Parking is at the lot at Trippet Ranch for $3. This is also the parking lot for one route to the Tpoanga Overlook. In fact, there are a number of trail heads at Trippet Ranch that meander all through the Santa Monica Mtns.

Checked out Eagle Rock a couple weeks ago. It was great. Not crowded, trails are in great shape. It is a great time to go because in the summer it can super hot. I like this hike vs. the Parker Mesa Overlook because you get to cover so much of the park. Getting to the Eagle Rock formation is pretty cool. There are a lot of other hiking options once you get into Topanga SP. This is a favorite starting point for our family. - Tim - rating:4 stars - 2006-04-09
