Our path was so severely overgrown with poison oak this last spring that we couldn't get more than a few minutes in. It was terrifying - some of the bushes were head high and blocking the path! Hopefully this is no longer the case. - Dave - rating:1 stars - 2009-08-16

This area has a number of dirt roads cut into the hills that tend to lead toward the Topanga Canyon area. It is a nice pleasant hike and there are areas where the views are stunning. On a clear evening you can see the lights of the City of Santa Monica with beach communites beyond tight against the dark ocean. Looking to the north it is possible to see the lights from Universal City Studio and Citywalk.

Be careful, though. This is natural chaparral country and you could encounter an occassional coyote or rattlesnake. Carry adequate water in the summer. - Gene - rating:4 stars - 2006-06-05

A good place to start is where Michael Ln and Palisades Ct are connected. The Canyon fire road is the path to take. Have fun.
