:Parking is at the lot at Trippet Ranch for $3. This is also the parking lot for the Eagle Rock trail. In fact, there are a number of trail heads at Trippet Ranch the meander all through the Santa Monica Mtns.

parking is now $10. Still worth it. Very easy trails to follow and Eagle Rock is nice place to chill for a little picnic

Nice hike, you get an ocean view almost immediately. Pretty red rocks, veiws of pacific palisades. Lots of flies though. I saw several deer in the parking lot when leaving. - melissa - rating:4 stars - 2009-07-19

Great place to start this hike is Trippet Ranch where you can go to various trails. Took the St. Ynez trail which leads about 2 miles down which also means a semi-tough trail back up 2 miles. Would recommend but make sure you take some water. - Roger Briceno - rating:4 stars - 2009-03-30
