In April we walked from Carpinteria Salt Marsh almost past the seal sanctuary to Rincon and back. Lots of variety at Carpinteria, good educational walk for the kids. At the salt marsh you will find many interpretive signs from there you pass beach dunes on the city beach, enter the state beach passing an estuary, views of the Channel Islands offshore, tar beach and bluffs and then the seal sanctuary. I'll try to post some pics later, I do have the salt marsh on my webpage at http://www.caopenspace.org/carpinteriasaltmarsh.htmlif anyone wants to see what that looks like. Fun area to explore!
