Love this place been going for years.Just went on a day trip prep for a 3dayer.Thanks to the rain the pools, and creeks are full.Trails are good, creek crossings can be a little tough without getting wet.Be careful hiking poison oak is everywhere. We also came across some nice bear tracks.Great hike, and camping.Remember pack out what you pack in.

This is a fantastic day hike. Be careful, however, because you can run into some rough characters near the Punch Bowls. The rocky trail can be rough on a dog's paws as well. - Wild Bill - rating:5 stars - 2007-09-25

Great day hike. Pretty good long weekend backpacking trip also if you stay at Big Cone campground. The pools are great for dipping. - R - rating:5 stars - 2007-03-03

A great day hike! Could not always find the trail and did not bother following it much. A lot of boulder hopping but ultimately worth it. Very nice to be able to go swimming and relax at the "end" of the hike before hiking back out! - T - rating:5 stars - 2006-06-25
